Bathing with Cleopatra

Awoke to a beautiful still morning water like glass and got up early a caught a couple of shots of the scenery in this bay. all around the wall are the Gulets and motor yachts all stern to and the small merchant flotilla of people trying to sell items to the cruisers.
we picked up the daily Turkish bread from one and declined the early morning ice cream from another.I was disappointed to not have the Gozleme boat with morning pancakes here today but they must just be off somewhere else.
Had breakfast of Greek yogurt and fresh fruit with a short Nespresso as we sat in the all open cockpit with the smell of dry conifers from the close shore filling the air.

A slow start and then a visit to Cleopatra's baths so called a Byzantine bathhouse constructed right down at the waters edge with much of its plaster still visible. The original must have been stunning and we tied of the Niad and just floated through the ruins luxuriating in the warm med water. Its a far cry from Barrier with that first shock and then the slow transition to numb as you became used to it. here it is blood warm night and day and you can stay as long as you wish limited solely by degree of prune factor.

We split the mornings Turkish bread and grilled up a couple of Pizzas for lunch and so beer and pizza under the cover in the warm breeze.

Gend and Paul at present buying sarongs from another boat along side. a Ma and Pa team just sliding from boat to boat plying their trade, amazingly courteous and helpful with good English honed from years of dealing with countless cruising tourists. They are just nipping away to come back with another pink and beads version so I am told.
