Its been another 12.64k day!

Oh yes lots of walking but that really is the joy of this place and its fascinating old town and walkways that just lure you in to walking further and further onwards.
The last two days have actually been really bad weather, quite cold and very wet so it noticeably puts a big dampener on this place. All looks very grey and the restaurants that rely on the huge foot traffic do it hard. The upside is the Czech food suits that weather so we have finished with the goulashes and platters and are back with the crispy base pizza which they do very well. Walked into the main modern area of town for some shopping and caught up with marks and Sparks, C & A and Debenhams!...yes even got some Marks undies. All pretty hard and cold and wet but had a good look around the old quarter.
Today Sunday bright and clear sky with sun, and the whole mood lifts.Breakfast as included at the hotel then out up the hill past the castle and to the top of the park/hill for a rather longer than planned park walk but kept getting led down blind paths but eventually got back to the castle hill top and stopped for lunch at a great little restaurant had the large pilsener beers and pizza...a great lunch, as the crowds started to build. You really do need to be out as early as you can bear otherwise the queues to even get into a venue will defeat you, not to mention the crowds you strike inside the venue after the wait!
The afternoon we had booked a boat trip on the river. Not bad but they struggle to really go anywhere its incredibly shallow and limited and can only go a very short distance anyhow...none of which you know beforehand, but hey a great time to be out on the water?......has the appearance of solid sewerage but they say it is cleaner than it looks, but hardly a convincing argument. The sun was shining and it gives you a different perspective of the city yet again and at the end of it back on the streets as although they pick you up and take you there, they abandon you at docking.
This evening we had had enough of Czech food so went to "Cowboys" a very upmarket massive restaurant carved out of the old cellars and very styley and best of all a large roof top deck eating space so could sit up on top a few doors from the hotel and watch the last golden sun catch the various cupolas of the many churches across the city. A beautiful sight.
The ambiance helped on by a couple of rounds of large Mojitos followed by Fajitas and double espressos. Really good food and amazing service.
So off to Turkey tomorrow!
Hoping my accommodation selection will gain Gend's approval...I keep getting little panic attacks that we will greeted at the door by a large Turkish wrestler type gentleman and shown to roach infested rooms on the outskirts of Istanbul.
