Birthday Blog from Barcelona

I always was a sucker for alliteration. Well jet lag just starting to settle. The fight up was fantastic a 6 movie type of deal with full leg room and lie flat sleeping pods, incredible really and fantastic service.I sthink we seriously underestimate the effects of lag and swapping night for day as we hit the ground running. Barcelona is cool and yesterday got on the Bus Turistic which runs around 3 routes a couple of 2 hours and the other 40 minutes. You jump on and off so it affords a really cool look at the whole city and we visited the best of our lists. The Gaudi apartment was mind blowing considering the age in which it was built and the Sagrada Familia the Gaudi Cathedral was staggering in its 126 year build time so far and its audaciousness.Food wise we are certainly all Tapassed out well and truly ...even started looking lovingly at sushi last night on the way home from yet another round of croquettes, cheese to feed the neighbourhood and uncooked chorizo. Favorite is still the baguette with a drizzle of oil and serano ham skin thin with "dos cervessas".
Birthday today, truly have no concept of me being 57 can't even imagine it actually but we are off to Picasso museum and hopefully find some good malls for some shopping. Going to try a restaurant of a list blog I found ...only serves lamb this evening.
Other than that will be cruising La Rambla which has to be the statue capital of the world. Incredible pressure of tourism here but they do it well. Well guys take care and we will head off into the very warm day. Later we plan the extension walk of the Rambla down to the harbour walk way all looks pretty cool.
